About

“I have always been fascinated by colors, shapes, and patterns.

My art explores the interplay of three core elements:

  • Color – Bold, energetic, and vivid hues draw the eye with striking contrast
  • Shape – Rotation, reflection, and defined edges bring depth, movement, and flow
  • Pattern – Interwoven, repeated, and deliberately fuzzy elements add nuance, subtlety, and emotion

In my work, I strive to create a marriage between my right and left brains. I play loosely and joyfully with my acrylics, blending quickly with wet-in-wet techniques and introducing unexpected texture or metallic elements, working as instinctively as possible in the moment. But this looseness is built upon a foundation of precise design grounded in my love of mathematics, the geometries of nature, and the myriad ways we catalog, categorize, and make sets within our world.

The end result, I hope, strikes a resonant chord; the interplay of color, shape, and pattern, the contrast of the precise and the imprecise, bringing positive emotions and pleasant surprises to its viewers.
